Booking Policy

These policies are designed to ensure a smooth, respectful experience for every couple. Our goal is to be clear, fair, and transparent — while keeping the focus on creating a meaningful ceremony.

Reservations & Payment

A 40% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking to reserve your ceremony date and time. The remaining balance is due 7 days prior to the scheduled ceremony.

All payments are processed securely online. Once a booking is confirmed, the selected date and time are held exclusively for you.

Cancellations & Rescheduling

Deposits are non-refundable.

We understand that plans can change. One reschedule is permitted with at least 7 days’ notice, subject to availability. Requests made within 7 days of the ceremony date may be subject to rescheduling fees or availability limitations.

Ceremony fees are not refundable due to changes in personal circumstances, travel issues, or failure to meet legal requirements.

Marriage License Responsibility

Couples are responsible for obtaining a valid California marriage license prior to their ceremony.

Palm Springs Wedding Chapel may provide referrals to an independent concierge service that assists with confidential marriage licenses; however, license approval and issuance are handled entirely by the issuing authority or third-party provider.

To issue a California marriage license (public or confidential), the State of California requires specific personal and legal information from both parties. This typically includes valid government-issued photo identification, confirmation that both parties are at least 18 years of age, details of any prior marriages, and parental information as required by the state.

Full instructions and guidance are provided by the concierge service or issuing authority at the time of application.

If a valid marriage license is not present on the day of the ceremony, the ceremony may proceed as symbolic only. Ceremony fees remain non-refundable.

Legal Requirements

Valid government-issued photo identification is required for both parties on the day of the ceremony. Additional legal requirements are governed by the State of California and the issuing authority.

Photography inclusions vary by experience. Any optional add-ons or enhancements are subject to availability and do not alter booking, cancellation, or refund terms.

By completing a booking, you acknowledge and agree to our Photography & Image Use Policy, including permissions for marketing use and available opt-out options.

Please review our Photography & Image Use Policy for details regarding image use, marketing permissions, and privacy options.

Outdoor Ceremonies & Weather

Outdoor ceremonies are weather permitting. In the event of inclement weather, we will make every reasonable effort to accommodate the ceremony indoors when possible. Weather conditions do not constitute grounds for a refund.

Arrival Time

Ceremonies are scheduled for specific time slots. Please arrive on time for your ceremony. Late arrival may result in a shortened ceremony to accommodate other scheduled services, and extensions cannot be guaranteed.

General

By booking an experience, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to these policies. These policies are subject to updates as needed to reflect operational or legal requirements.
